The Instructor's Handbook contains an introduction to the philosophy behind Spelling You See and the five developmental stages of spelling. The Handbook also contains a "Getting Started" guide and detailed instructions for each lesson, including suggested activities that coordinate with the weekly Spotlight. At the back of the Handbook there is more information about each activity, answers to frequently asked questions, the passages for dictation, and an answer key.
The Student Pack includes two student workbooks. Each of the 36 lessons is divided into five parts, A through E, and includes two facing pages. Each day the student reads the passage and then "chunks" the appropriate letter patterns indicated for that day's lesson. There are opportunities for copywork and writing from dictation throughout the week. Each lesson also includes a Spotlight that introduces interesting facts about words.

Used when teaching fractions in Epsilon, this updated Kit includes new eighths pieces and more unit pieces to make it easier for students to build mixed-number problems. The fold-shut case has tabbed flaps and clearly-marked sections so overlays stay neatly stored, and the convenient size stands on a bookshelf but is easy to take along. Forty-nine total pieces represent halves through sixteenths. There are 5 green, 2 orange, 3 pink, 4 yellow, 5 blue, 6 purple, and 8 brown colored vinyl pieces representing the numerator. Clear lined vinyl overlays portray the denominator, with two each of halves, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths, eighths, and tenths, and one half-sheet each of eighths and sixteenths.
